专利说明:
[0001] The present invention relates to a protection system for a motor vehicle suspension damper, as well as to a method of assembling a motor vehicle with these protection systems. , and a motor vehicle equipped with these protection systems. Motor vehicles generally comprise suspensions connecting suspension arms to the vehicle body, comprising for each wheel a spring supporting the load of the vehicle, and a damper disposed in parallel with the spring, which brakes the oscillations. A known type of hydraulic damper comprises a rod disposed along the axis of a tubular body, comprising at one end a piston sliding in this body to separate two chambers on each side. The piston has fluid passages from one chamber to another in each of the directions, braking the fluid for damping the suspension. This ensures the braking oscillations of the vehicle body, both the comfort and handling of this vehicle. On some vehicles, the damper is disposed substantially vertically, the lower end being fixed on the suspension arm, the upper end being fixed to the vehicle body. When mounting the vehicle on the assembly line of the manufacturer, a known assembly method comprises the preparation of the rolling train receiving all its equipment, including the upwardly upward dampers, which then receives the vehicle down on the body. In this way the upper part of the dampers comes close to the attachment points of the body provided to receive them. [0002] Moreover it is known during this assembly to have a strap from compressing the rod of the damper to keep it retracted, to facilitate its setting in position on the vehicle body. [0003] 3027083 2 The compression strap then has a central portion resting on the end of the damper rod, is two lateral parts which descend diametrically opposite along the body of the damper to be fixed on it, in order to prevent the exit of this rod. [0004] Furthermore, a known type of protection, presented in particular by the document CN-U-201843929, comprises a bellows made of elastomer provided to cover the rod of the damper when it leaves the body, comprising two ends which enclose this body as well as the rod, connected to each other by the bellows. The bellows further comprises two holes 10 for balancing the internal pressure, following the movement of the damper. As a variant, some vehicles comprise a protective bellows comprising an upper end connected to the damper rod, and a lower end attached to the suspension element connected to the body of this damper. In this way it is possible to completely close a hollow like a well formed on this suspension element, and receiving the base of the damper, which prevents the projection of pebbles in this hollow. In this case, there is then a problem of passage of the strap around the damper, which is impeded by the bellows if it is put in place beforehand on the undercarriage of the vehicle, before the descent of the body on this train. In addition, we are looking for a protection system that can be easily and quickly adapted to existing vehicles without modifying these vehicles. The present invention is intended to avoid these disadvantages of the prior art. It proposes for this purpose a protection system for a hydraulic damper connecting a suspension element to the body of a motor vehicle, comprising a rod sliding in a tube, this protection system comprising a bellows having an end intended to be connected. to the damper rod, characterized in that the bellows end has cutouts for the passage of a compression strap holding the compressed rod. [0005] An advantage of this protection system is that in a simple and economical manner, in particular by a shape in the molding of the elastomer of the bellows directly giving the two cutouts, the passage of the compression strap disposed along the body is allowed. the damper inside the bellows, the central portion of the strap coming out of the bellows to compress the rod passing over its end. It is thus possible to add the protection system to the damper coming from above, without modifying the method of assembling the vehicle. The protection system according to the invention may further comprise one or more of the following features, which may be combined with each other. Advantageously, the protection system comprises two diametrically opposed cuts, allowing the passage of the compression strap comprising two sides arranged along the tube, and between these sides a central portion passing above the end of the rod for the keep compressed. In particular, the end of the bellows may comprise an inner circular recess intended to come on an outer bead connected to the damper rod. [0006] In this case, the cuts are advantageously formed on the upper face of the circular hollow. Advantageously, the bellows comprises, next to the blanks, a continuous contour, so as to grip the bead of the upper ring in a continuous manner with a seal after the withdrawal of the compression strap. [0007] Advantageously, the bellows is formed with its cuts by molding an elastomer or blowing a plastic material. The invention also relates to a method of assembling a motor vehicle having shock absorbers equipped with protection systems comprising any one of the preceding features, comprising the following steps, a train is prepared comprising the shock absorbers compressed by compression straps, we then down the protection system 3027083 4 on these dampers by adjusting the straps in the cutouts, and finally depositing the vehicle body on the running gear. Advantageously, the compression straps are removed after removal of the vehicle body, by sliding them in the cutouts. [0008] The invention also relates to a motor vehicle comprising hydraulic suspension dampers equipped with protection systems, which comprise any of the preceding features. The invention will be better understood and other features and advantages will appear more clearly on reading the following description given by way of example and in a nonlimiting manner, with reference to the appended drawings in which: FIG. 1 is a cross-sectional view with respect to the longitudinal axis of the vehicle of a damper in a compressed position fixed to a rear suspension arm of said vehicle; - Figure 2 is a longitudinal sectional view of this damper in a stretched position; FIG. 3 is a view of a protection system provided for this damper; FIG. 4 is a view showing the mounting of the compression strap on the damper without the protection system; and - Figures 5 and 6 show this damper equipped with a protection system according to the invention, receiving the compression strap. Figures 1 and 2 show a damper comprising a rod 2 having at its lower end a piston, not shown, sliding in a closed tube containing the fluid 4. The upper end of the rod 2 is fixed to the vehicle body the lower end of the closed tube 4 comprises a ring disposed along a transverse axis 6, containing internally by a filtration elastomer, a horizontal fixing tube 8 receiving a screw passing through a well 18. The closed tube 4 is surrounded by an outer protection tube 10 whose upper part is fixed at the top of the rod 2, to form a protection of the part of this rod exiting above the closed tube when the damper is in extension. The rear suspension of the vehicle comprises a suspension arm 16 having in its rear portion a lateral flange 12 facing outwardly of the vehicle 5, receiving the hub carrier of the rear wheel, and a horizontal cup 14 receiving the support of the base suspension spring. In front of these elements, the suspension arm 16 comprises the substantially vertical well 18 surrounded by a sheet, comprising in the transverse direction two substantially parallel faces comprising at their bases the bore receiving the screw of the lower attachment tube 8. In the Longitudinal direction, the well 18 has two faces forming an upwardly open cone, so as to allow a movement of the damper around the axis of its lower attachment tube 8 when the rear suspension is working. [0009] During the running of the vehicle, there is then a risk of throwing pebbles by the wheels which can enter the well 18, and become stuck at the base of this well which is tightened, making noise and damaging elements. This problem can lead to the blocking of the damper, and the movement of the wheel. [0010] In particular in this example, pebbles with dimensions less than 5 mm can pass through the well 18 by sliding downwards between the transverse ring 6 and the sheet of this well, to fall to the ground, while the pebbles of dimension the upper part can not pass through this outlet, remain retained if they are not broken into pieces by the movements of the damper. FIG. 3 shows the protection system for a damper comprising no outer tube 10, comprising in the upper part a bellows 20 made by a blowing of plastic material or an elastomer molding, the top of which is fixed at the top of the damper, and the base is fixed above a base 22 made by a plastic molding, which descends into the well 18 of the suspension arm 16 to be attached. [0011] The bellows 20 has a cylindrical upper portion 24 fitted around the rod alone, the protective tube of the damper being replaced by the protection device. The bellows 20 terminates at the top by an inner circular hollow which is fitted on a corresponding circular bead 28 of an upper rubber filter ring 26 connected to the damper rod, to ensure by clamping the binding and the tightness of the whole. The cylindrical upper portion 24 of the bellows 20 is extended downwards by a conical shape 30 of oval section elongated along the longitudinal axis of the vehicle, ending at the base by an annular groove 10 inside, which receives a continuous rim facing the outside 32 disposed at the top of the base 22, to ensure in the same way by clamping the attachment. The base 22 has an annular conical shape open upward, fitting inside the sheet of the well 18. [0012] In the longitudinal direction, the base 22 comprises two downwardly directed lower arms 34, each of which terminates in an outwardly-angled hook 36, in order to cleave underneath the sheet of the well 18 by clipping. when this base is completely lowered by adjusting in the inner contour of this well. [0013] The base 22 has at the bottom of its annular shape, on each side between the two lower arms 34, and at the top of these arms, a horizontal flexible branch 40 which connects the two arms together. On each side in the middle of the single branch 40, this branch has an outwardly projecting stopper 38 which fits into an oblong bore within the well 18 when the base 22 is secured. on the suspension arm 16. The base of this stop 38 bears at the bottom of this bore. During the manual positioning of the base 22 of the protection system in the well 18 of the suspension arm 16, the operator descends this base with a small elastic deformation of the branches 40 inwards, until stop stops 38 enter their holes by snapping into them. Then with the support of the abutment base 38 in the bores, there is an elastic deformation of the branches 40 upward until the hooks 36 of the lower arms 34 clip below the well 18. then simply and quickly blocking the base 22 5 by the hooks 36 and the stoppers 38, with a clamping indicated by the arrows F which is maintained by the elastic deformation of the horizontal branches 40, which blocks this base by preventing small movements that could cause noises and wear. It will be noted that the elastic deformation of the branches 40 also makes it possible to adapt to the tolerance differences on the height of the plate of the well 18, as well as to the presence of burrs on the cuts of this sheet, which ensures simple blocking the base 22 without games for mass production. The upper part of the base 22 comprises three horizontal rows of oblong holes 42 oriented horizontally, which are arranged between the base of the elastomeric bellows 30, and the top of the sheet of the well 18. The oblong holes 42 have a lower height. at 5mm, and a larger width, so as to allow ventilation of the interior volume of the bellows 20 while prohibiting the entry of pebbles whose dimension is greater than these 5mm. FIG. 4 shows the upper part of the damper comprising its rod 2 which is compressed by a strap 50, its central part bearing on the end of this rod, and its two lateral parts bypassing the ring first. upper 26 linked to the rod 2 and its circular bead 28, to come oppositely along the closed tube 4, and be attached to this tube, or to the suspension element connected to the lower part of this tube. In this way following a known method of assembly of the vehicle, after fixing the damper on the suspension element mounted on the rear train, one maintains its rod 2 compressed which allows to easily lower the vehicle body on this rear train, and then releasing the 3027083 8 strap 50 to let go up this rod to come fix its upper end under the vehicle body. Figures 5 and 6 show the upper end of the bellow 20 of the damper protection system, including the inner circular hollow 54 fitted on the bead 28 of the upper ring 26. The horizontal upper face of the circular hollow 54 of the bellows 20, has two diametrically opposed cutouts 52 each allowing the passage of a lateral portion of the strap 50, which diagonally upwards to reach the end of the rod 2. [0014] Advantageously, the two cut-outs 52, which enable the bellows to be lowered on the shock absorber after having compressed its rod 2 with the strap 50, are economically produced during blowing or molding of the bellows 20. After the installation of the vehicle body on the rear axle, when the strap is detached to release the rod 2 of the damper, the strap is then slid along the closed tube 4 and into the cutouts 52 to remove it, leaving the bellows 20 in place The circular contour of the bellows 20 then resumes its place after the withdrawal of the strap 50, by enclosing below the cutouts 52, continuously the bead 28 of the upper ring 26, which ensures at the same time its maintenance and the seal on this ring. In general, the protection system according to the invention arises on vehicles being assembled without special tools or additional fastening elements such as screws or staples. [0015] In addition this protection system does not require any modification of the vehicle, can adapt to new productions without changing the studies of this vehicle. It can be adapted to old productions by interventions of the after-sales service without modification or exchange of parts, with only disassembly of the upper fastening of the shock absorber.
